Thiruvambady Mahaganapathy Temple is located in close proximity to the Thiruvambady Sri Krishna Temple in Thrissur, Kerala. Situated approximately 1 kilometer from the renowned Vadakkumnathan Temple, it holds the distinction of being the only temple in Thrissur dedicated exclusively to Lord Vinayaka. In addition to the presiding deity, the temple also houses idols of Lord Anjaneya, Lord Muruka,Brahmarakshas, the Navagrahas, and Nagas. The idol of Lord Vinayaka enshrined here is a widely worshipped and depicted form, symbolizing happiness, wealth, and magnificence. The road directly opposite the temple leads to Poonkunnam Railway Station and extends further to Poonkunnam Junction. Strategically located just behind the famous Thiruvambady Sri Krishna Temple, this temple is nestled in the vibrant heart of Thrissur city. Thiruvambady Temple is also one of the key participants in the iconic Thrissur Pooram, the grandest and most celebrated temple festival in Kerala. The parallel road in front of the temple, Shornur Road, connects to Vadakkumnathan Temple on one end and to Paturaikkal and Shornur on the other.
